Longevity
NAD+
Small human studies, mostly on blood levels
Supplement / clinic IV. Injectable use is off-label.
What's actually proven
- ✓NAD+ levels decline with age; precursors (NR, NMN) reliably raise blood NAD+ in humans.
- ✓Injections/IV raise NAD+ metabolites in blood short-term.
The bullshit / overstated
- ✗"Reverses ageing" — no human trial shows it extends lifespan or reverses biological age.
- ✗Energy, focus and 'cellular repair' claims are mostly anecdotes and mouse data.
- ✗Raising a blood number is not the same as a health outcome.
Side effects
- •Flushing, chest tightness, nausea and cramping if injected/infused fast
- •Injection-site stinging
Don't use if
- !Active cancer (theoretical concern — NAD+ fuels fast-dividing cells)
- !Pregnancy
